Machine Learning and Applications Research Group

The Machine Learning & Applications Research Group (GAMA) conducts research and development of machine learning and deep learning techniques to solve problems in computer vision, signal processing and tabular data processing, with a special (but not exclusive) focus on applications to the health sector.

The group has three major goals: to advance the state-of-the-art on applied machine learning through scientific publications; to provide its student members with a solid theoretical and practical experience in machine learning; and to assist Brazilian companies in the successful application of machine learning techniques in their products and services.

The group is led by Prof. Danilo Silva.
